Your Vision Realized - RECLAIMED•RESCUED•REDISCOVERED

We are proud pioneers in the green timber movement and are constantly exploring for reclaimed, rescued and rediscovered wood sources. From the harvesting to the drying and custom cutting; along the way we have built key relationships that enable us to bring our beautiful woods to market.

We rescue wood that is hundreds of years old so that you can cherish it for generations. Salvaged wood tells a story and it can enrich your life story with the homes and buildings it helps create.

We are locating our materials from a wide range of sources.

From British Columbia we have Douglas fir, Western Red cedar, Alaskan Yellow cedar and Western hemlock. We source this fiber from helicopter salvage operations, beachcombers, rivers and lakes. We also know when old buildings, factories and bridges are being dismantled around Vancouver and the province and we can find whatever you need to meet your design requirements.

From our underwater operation in Panama we are reclaiming Cumaru (Brazilian Teak), IPE (Brazilian Walnut), Espave, Zapatero and Cedro Espino.

Please select any of the underlined wood names to open a page detailing that particular wood.

UNDERWATER LOGGING - PANAMA

In 1913 Theodore Roosevelt created what was then the world's largest man made lake by damming the Chagres River and flooding an old growth jungle the size of Montreal.

97 years later, Coast EcoTimber is using submersible hydraulic chainsaws, that run on vegetable oil, to harvest the perfectly preserved hardwoods from that underwater jungle.

SLABS AND CHARACTER PIECES

Our slabs range in thickness from 2 to 5 inches and we can cut any width and length up to 30 feet. We can cut 'live edge' with the curvy natural edges or classic smooth square edges. We are constantly on the lookout for new character pieces. We have great relationships with arborists and loggers who really help to fulfill our wild and wonderful sourcing needs.

DRIFTWOOD

We have the most beautiful collection of natural driftwood pieces from a majestic lake on the Sunshine Coast. The pieces are silver with sun bleaching and available in all shapes and sizes - from small up to 6 feet across! Perfect for garden sculptures, furniture and home accessory applications.

DISMANTLED BUILDINGS

We offer antique beams and timbers from dismantled mills, schools, factories and barns from all over British Columbia. We work with companies which specialize in a careful demolition process. The natural patina on these antique pieces is simply stunning. Timbers, boards and flooring available.

BREATHTAKING WOOD SCULPTOR

His work is on display all over the world and is perfect for resorts, wineries, ranches and anyone wishing to impress visitors.

... FYI: Glenn lives with his wife in a multi-area/level tree house on Vancouver Island!
